EnPlus
EnPlus is a joint venture between Energetic Source, Alpiq Italia Holding (a subsidiary of the independent Swiss player Alpiq, active in energy production, trading and sales) and EN&EN (a small Italian energy operator, located in Belluno).
The company built a combined cycle natural gas-fired turbine (CCGT) power plant in San Severo (Foggia, Puglia).
The plant, with a total net capacity of about 400 MW and a net electrical efficiency of 57%, has started of operations at the beginning of 2011).
Main technical details of San Severo power plant are:
- The project will be constructed and commissioned under an EPC Contract awarded to Ansaldo Energia and it will be built in single shaft configuration using Siemens Class V94.3A4 gas turbine manufactured by Ansaldo Energia
- Power grid interconnection will include a dedicated 5.4 km power transmission line and a new Terna 380 kV air insulated switchyard.
- The fuel gas required to operate the power plant will be supplied through a 22.5 km dedicated pipeline connecting the Snam Rete Gas main network “San Salvo – Biccari” to the San Severo CCGT. The gas pipeline falls into the EPC Contract scope of work.
West Energy
Energetic Source owns a 4.46 % stake in West Energy, a company established to develop an 800 MW CCGT power plant located in Loreo (Rovigo, Veneto) The project has obtained the permits for Environmental Compatibility the final authorisation.
Other Businesses
Energetic Source owns the following stakes in companies active in renewable energy sector:
- Ecowatt (51% stake): a hydro plant in operation in Porlezza (Como) with an installed power of 5 MW
- Vento Energia (34.45% stake): a wind plant in operation in Puglia (Foggia) with a nominal power of 7.5 MW
